The ABEL Blog has three main purposes:

1. To promote our level of expertise 

We use the blog pages to show clients what they can expect when they work with one of our consultants.

We all know the difference a good teacher can make, but we rarely have much influence on who that teacher is. We can choose the school, perhaps, but what next? Instead of assigning you a teacher based only on very general things like your subject/level/age, and throwing you in with a group of other students, ABEL asks more targeted questions in order to assess your individual needs. 

Then, we introduce you to one or more of our consultants and let you make the decision. But wait — there’s more! The ABEL Blog is there to showcase the talents of our consultants and to display the standards you can expect from your matched consultant. One of the ways we do this is through ABEL Insights — examples of tips, tricks, or research from our expert educators. We aim to go above and beyond what other sites can offer, and our blog is there to prove it. 

2. To attract prospective clients through the blog’s content

After you’ve seen examples of what we can offer through our blog and perhaps used it to answer some general questions, we hope you’ll be encouraged to look for more tailor-made, specific help using our Consultants. The blog helps attract the right type of clients and allows you to “try before they buy”.   

3.  To provide useful insights and tips that we are happy to share for free

While ABEL Consultants is a business, we also aim to be an ethical one. We think everyone can benefit by developing their language skills, and we understand how common it is for people to have questions about something as complex as language, academia, and business communication.

There are many great resources already available on the internet which can be used to answer these questions, but unfortunately there are also a lot of bad ones: language forums full of opinionated pedants with a poor understanding of how language actually works; social media groups overrun with unhelpful suggestions; and unimaginative grammar sites that repeat the same old rules. The ABEL Blog is different.

Our free articles are written by expert educators with a deep understanding of the topics we are covering. On top of that, our ABEL Insights are designed to help you learn from our experience and research.

But, don’t forget, the value of ABEL Consultants is not in some secret knowledge that we have — because we are giving you much of that knowledge for free on our blog!
